What is a look?

A look is essentially an outfit change, as well as a small change in hair/ make up. If you want to add or subtract something small like a jack or hat, that won’t count as an extra look.

 

Will the weather affect my shoot?

I shoot from inside my climate-controlled studio using a combination of natural and studio lighting, so rain, heat, and wind won’t cause us any problems.

Are you taking extra covid precautions?

Yes. To insure as safe of an environment as possible, there are a few new rules currently being implemented during shoots. First and foremost, both the make up artist and I will be wearing masks throughout the entire session. I ask that my clients arrive to the studio in a mask as well, and remove it only for shooting and make up application. All studio windows will be open during your shoot to aid with ventilation and all surfaces will be disinfected prior to your arrival. I have an abundance of disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer here at the studio for everyones use. I also ask at this time that clients not bring any unnecessary guests with them to the studio in order to have as few people in the space as possible. If you are worried that you have contracted covid or have been exposed within two weeks leading up to your shoot, please let me know and I will do my best to reschedule you for as soon as possible once you are in the clear. While I hate to ever cancel on a client, I will do the same if I have any concerns about my own covid status.

 

Where are you located?

My studio is located in the North Hollywood Arts District. Specific location information will be emailed to you upon booking your session.

 

Parking?

Street parking is typically available on Farmdale and the surrounding streets.

 

Do you have a hair/makeup artist?

I have a team of professional make up artists available for booking along with your headshot session. Its recommend that you opt for professional make up but not required. Your make up artist will stay on hand throughout your shoot to make sure you stay looking great.

 

What if I don’t know what looks to do?

I can help you to a certain extent with picking out your wardrobe, but as far as what “looks” are best for you, it’s often hard for me to tell having just met you. Looks should be based on what type of roles are suited for you, whether that be girl next door, hipster, tough guy, etc. Your agent should advise you on what type of looks they want you to capture. If you don’t have an agent, it’s worth asking your acting coach for their opinion (assuming you’ve been with them more than a few weeks) and think realistically about what you best portray, as well as what you’ve been called in for in the past.

 

How do I book a session?

Just send me an email and I will get you booked!

What happens after I book?

After you book your session I will send you and info sheet with all the information you need regarding wardrobe, locating the studio, etc. I will confirm our session date with you by email a day or two before just to make sure we are all set.

 

Do you have weekend appointments available?

Yes.

How do I pay?

I accept cash, check, credit card, and venmo. Should you choose to book a make up artist they are paid separately by cash, check, or Venmo.

Do you require a deposit?

No deposit is required, however payment is due in full by the end of the session.
